Each summer, Mathews Yacht Club partners with the Mathews Family YMCA to offer youth swimming lessons. The YMCA swimming lesson program is held in the pool at the Mathews Yacht Club.

Our pool is also used by the YMCA, along with many volunteers from Mathews Yacht Club and the community, to provide all Mathews County 2nd graders with free swimming lessons in May, before school lets out. This valuable program provides the opportunity for many children in our community to learn how to swim.
